Nine shots of butterflies. And what they have in common are butterflies with their eye in focus, shot against a non cluttered background.

As for focusing, I find that shooting with such shallow depth of fields requires that I use manual focus. And while focusing on the eye would seem to be logical, in fact I usually focus on the proboscis or feeding tube, as it easier see defined edges on the proboscis.
