I shot this picture into the sun. As shot it was a disaster due to the wide range of lighting from the sun lit clouds to the deep woods shadows.

But, with the help of Shadows and Highlights in Photoshop,  I was able to add light and color to the foreground without overexposing the clouds and the sky.

Yes I know this is not a great picture. But I put it here to remind me of my starting point in shooting high dynamic range scenics.

Also, for this and the following pictures I switched to my fisheye lens which gives a distorted but sometimes interesting view of reality.
