A Snowy Egret hunting in what is normally shallow water.

My guess is that the water level was lowered in anticipation of heavy rains that never came from tropical storm Chris. Or, the water level may be low because we haven't had a lot of rain and there is a strong demand for reclaimed water.

Anyway, there were lots of birds here today because there is a lot of shallow water that is trapping fish and making them easy pickings.
