Another day, another Roseate Spoonbill.

This one is resting with its bill tucked under its feathers.

Books say that birds tuck their bills like this for warmth. But Since they do the same thing in the heat of Summer, I'm not so sure.

My theory is that they do it for comfort and to raise their CO2 level to make themselves sleepy.

But hey, what do I know?
