A Great Egret patiently waiting for almost any protein based life form to reveal its location.

Great Egrets are very patient and will often wait motionless in the same spot for minutes at a time.

In fact I often wait a while to see if they catch anything but move on before they do.

Turns out Great Egrets have a lot more patience than I do - or at least they value their next meal more than I value a picture of them eating it.
