A North American River Otter heading back to Alligator Hollow after taking a pee break.

This Otter hunted for most of the afternoon in Alligator Hollow, the small pond on the shortcut section of the boardwalk.

Otters are not common here.

But once and a while they visit as the L 30 Canal, which boarders the south boundary of the wetlands, runs from the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge to the Intracoastal Waterway.
