My best shot ever of a female Least Bittern, the mother of the new brood in the Bullrush stand.
What I like about this shot is the simplicity of the setting and the creamy brown background.
While some may think I Photoshopped the background, the fact is that I didn't touch it at all. Instead it's the result of the way the light was hitting the brown tinted water.
I knew it would be a good picture when I shot it. But the background far exceeded my expectations. Such is the nature of light.
