Here the parent Great Blue Heron is disgorging a good sized Tilapia thatit  brought to the nest in its gullet.

Usually the parent disgorges the fish into the nest. But here the fledgling was able to get directly in the path and take the fish before it hit the nest.

And interestingly, the parent had turned the fish in its gullet so that came out head first and thus ready to be swallowed head first by the fledgling.
