With even more rain, the Black-necked Stilt's nest, by the first pavilion on the right, finally flooded.
But there is no sign of the eggs that were in the nest.
Perhaps they were eaten by turtles or other birds.
Or perhaps the Stilts moved them to higher ground. I still don't know how they might do this. But somehow they did move the eggs to this spot from a prior nest about 15 feet away.
