Two Great Blue Heron fledglings mobbing their Mom or Dad in an attempt to get the parent to disgorge the fish she/he just brought back to the nest.

You would think the parent would just drop the fish and get out of there.

But dropping the fish requires that the parent lower its head into the nest, at which time the fledglings go absolutely bonkers.

So the parent needs some time to get ready - to get excited enough to just do it.
