A Common Moorhen parent teaching its young what's good to eat, like almost everything they are swimming in.

Both Common Moorhen parents help to raise their young which includes teaching them how to forage and providing protection from predators.

And even when the young are almost fully grown, they still swim around as a group with their parents, making them among the best of family birds in my book.
