A Purple Gallinule eating its veggies as it waits for Fireflag season to begin.

A nice picture. But the real reason I put it here is to show the Purple Gallinule with its wings cocked.

When not on guard, the Gallinule's wings lie flat against its body.

But when on guard, with its wings in this position, the Gallinule can almost instantly bob under the surface if a hawk swoops in, or fly if an Alligator appears.
