This is a long shot of the Great Blue Heron nest on the Northeast corner of the wetlands.
It's not a good picture. But I put it here to document that, as of today, there are three chicks in nest.
Now the chicks have to grow for about 4 more weeks before they are able to fly. During this time, unlike their brethren with nests in trees, they have very little room to move around.
And one false step, or a push from a sibling, and they are out of the nest for good.
