This is a heavy crop of a Black-necked Stilt on it's nest.

It's a long shot, even for a 500mm lens. 1000 plus would be needed to fill the frame with this scene.

Still I took the shot so that you can see how vulnerable Black-necked Stilt nests are.

Hopefully, someone with a longer lens will do a better job with this nesting scene.

To see the nest, go to the west end of the long sidewalk part of the boardwalk and look north west.
