2006-11-23-Wakodahatchee

A Tricolored Heron hunting by the boardwalk.

Today was Thanksgiving Day and there at least 100 people on the boardwalk at any one time.

Interestingly, there where a lot more birds than usual. And they were close to the boardwalk.

As for me, I was glad to see all of the people here. Why?

1. They help justify keeping Wakodahatchee open.

2. They train the birds to tolerate people.

3. If someday someone says something stupid like "let's get rid of the birds", some of these bird lovers will hopefully speak up to save the birds.
